ABout me
hello there…
…and thanks for taking the time to look around and learn a little more about me!
I have pretty much devoted my career to everything related to the body: how it moves and can be moved!
My earliest memory of finding joy in movement is dancing some sort of Irish-Ballet-Tap composition in my kitchen to the likes of Ricky Martin and Darude’s Sandstorm (video evidence can be provided on special request). These formative experiences pretty much encapsulate how I’ve continued to develop my practice and expertise.
I take a very multidisciplinary approach to how I train and understand the body. I thrive on uncovering connections and contradictions between different training modalities and bodies of knowledge. My style of teaching and coaching is very image-led and hands-on, especially as I continue to develop my expertise in manual therapy.
I have been working within the fitness industry since 2020 and am fortunate enough to work at some of the UK’s top boutique studios Movement Collective, 1Rebel and Equinox as well as coach privately both online and in-person. I hold certifications in Level 3 Stott® Pilates Mat and Reformer, Indoor Cycling, Barre, and Level 1 Stretch Therapy.
Alongside this I have continued to establish myself within the creative industry as a Performer, Facilitator and Movement Director. My formal training began at The University of Kent where I studied Drama and Theatre Studies; continuing with two years of vocational training at Fourth Monkey Theatre; then more recently culminated in a first-class Masters in Choreography at Trinity Laban School of Music and Drama with my thesis: The Significance of Humour in Contemporary Performance: Engaging the Spectator in Political Discourse by Valuing the Object of Laughter.
I have been collaborating with Theatre Re since 2018 having toured both nationally and internationally with Birth, The Nature of Forgetting and Bluebelle. I am Assistant Director on Moments and regularly facilitate workshops for schools, artists and community groups.
